Welcome to the Latvia's regional development portal!
Given the current economic and political situation in Latvia (the implementation of the public administration reform etc) and the target set by the EU - the development of e-Europe, local authorities in Latvia have been developing e-governance and creating quality services. The creation of a single Internet portal that covers the development of planning regions in Latvia will be an attempt to promote the use of the Internet on a regional level. The portal will provide the latest information on regional development that takes place on the regional, town and district level; it will permit us to find out the attitude of the public concerning various development issues; it will make modern planning tools available to planning experts in local authorities; it will provide information to the business community about investment opportunities and calls for tenders announced by local authorities.
The portal will consist of 3 basic parts: General, Planning and Business Promotion.
